How to Use & Care for Coated Pans

Simple and easy instructions for keeping your coated pans in top condition! Coated pans are easy to use and, with proper care, can last for many years!

A frying pan with a PFAS-free ceramic coating is more sensitive to overheating.

Never heat the pan when it’s empty. Always add cooking fat to a cold pan.

Never heat the pan on the highest stove setting. The highest heat is intended only for boiling water. This is especially important when using an induction stove.

Use only wooden, plastic, or silicone utensils with coated cookware.

Allow the pan to cool before washing. Wash both the inside and outside thoroughly by hand after each use, using dish soap and a brush or sponge. Also, keep the stove clean.

Hand washing prolongs the lifespan of the product.

Do not store food in coated cookware. The acids in food may damage the coating.

Important! Overheating damages the coating. Never heat the pan empty or leave it unattended on the stove. Avoid using the highest heat settings.

Pre-marinated foods or those high in sugar can damage the coating because sugar heats up very quickly. Use especially moderate heat when cooking sugary foods.
