Sharpen like a pro! With the two-sided whetstone, you can sharpen your knives in a traditional Japanese way. Coarseness 1000 is used to restore the blades' original form. Coarseness 3000 is used to polish the edges of the blade. The two-sided stone stays in place and won’t scratch any surfaces due to its rubber base. The knife angle guides sharpen at 20° which is the norm for European knives.
The package also includes two knife angle guides to keep the blade even and at the perfect angle and a polisher for the whetstone.
The sharpening stone should be soaked in water for 5 minutes and then placed on a stable surface.
Sharpen the knife with a back-and-forth motion, starting with the coarse side depending on the condition of the blade, and finish with the finer side. Remember to maintain the correct sharpening angle (check the angle from the knife's packaging).
Clean and dry the knife thoroughly after sharpening. Clean the stone with the smoother included in the package.
Rinse the stone with water and set it to dry in a dry place without a base.
Use the entire surface of the stone while sharpening to avoid uneven wear or pitting.
Do not drop the stone due to the risk of cracking.
