Super chocolatey chocolate brownies

Calling all chocolate lovers!

If you've ever wondered what a dessert made up of 50% chocolate tastes like then this is your lucky day. This dessert uses 2 full bars of chocolate as well as a abundant amount of cocoa powder and lots of other yummy ingredients that finally created the most chocolatey fudgy brownies you've ever tasted.

Recipe

115 g butter
2 chocolate bars (one milk chocolate and one dark chocolate), coarsely chopped
1.5 dl granulated sugar
0.5 dl brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1.5 dl all-purpose flour
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt

Chocolate Frosting:

115 g butter, softened to room temperature
2 dl powdered sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp cream or milk, slightly warm
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt, to taste

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Place the butter in a cold saucepan and let it melt. Once melted, add half of the chocolate (1/2 bar of milk chocolate and 1/2 bar of dark chocolate). Reduce the heat and let it melt slowly, stirring constantly to prevent burning. When the chocolate is completely melted, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about five minutes. Then add the eggs, vanilla extract, and sugars, and mix well. Next, add the flour and cocoa powder, and mix until smooth. Finally, add the remaining chocolate (coarsely chopped) and stir. Pour the batter into a 20 x 20 cm (2 L) baking dish and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.

Mix all the frosting ingredients together until there are no lumps. Spread it over the cool brownie base and let it set for 10 minutes.

Tip: Add some chopped hazelnuts on top for a nice twist.
