Spaghetti and meatballs in a tomato sauce

This recipe is a classic in our family and is always made during the holidays. It’s a delicious meal that will leave everyone’s stomachs full! Best for anyone who doesn’t mind a little mess while eating!

RECIPE


serves 6 people
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 dl parmesan cheese grated
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 clove of garlic
1 egg

Kastike:
1/2 sipuli
2 valkosipulinkynttä
1 rkl oliiviöljyä
2 tölkkiä tomaattikastiketta
2 tl suolaa
1 tl sokeria
2 laakerinlehteä
5 basilikanlehteä
1 tl mustapippuria
1 tl muskottipähkinää
1 tl kanelia


Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together. Shape into small balls. Add a little oil to a frying pan and heat. Fry the meatballs until they form a golden crust.


In a separate bigger frying pan, sauté the onion and garlic over a higher heat. Add the tomato sauce, spices and herbs and cook over a low heat for a while.


Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 30 minutes.


Bring the pasta water to a boil in a large pot. Add plenty of salt (1 teaspoon/1 litre of water) after boiling. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package.

When the pasta is al dente, add it to the sauce and enjoy!
